Meet the Founder
Behind Silk Lofts is a visionary entrepreneur and master stylist whose journey is rooted in passion, resilience, and purpose.
With over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, her story began at just 10 years old and quickly evolved into a lifelong career. By 16, she became a licensed cosmetologist in Maryland, balancing her education while building a loyal clientele that would eventually grow to over 800 women.
While earning her degree in Business Administration from Morgan State University, she worked in top salons across Maryland, sharpening both her technical skills and business acumen. At just 24 years old, she launched her first salon, turning adversity during the COVID-19 pandemic into an opportunity to create something of her own.
After relocating to Houston in 2023 to meet the rising demand for natural and bridal hair specialists, her growth accelerated rapidly. Within months, she built a thriving client base, now serving over 650 loyal clients in the Houston area.
But her impact extends far beyond the chair.
As a mentor and educator, she is the founder of the “No Stylist Left Behind” program, where she empowers aspiring and established stylists with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to succeed. She has also been invited to speak on entrepreneurial panels and share her journey with students across college campuses.
Silk Lofts is the next evolution of her vision, a space designed not only to elevate beauty professionals, but to build a community where ambition is supported, talent is nurtured, and success is shared.
